Breaking News… The CW Orders Nine Segments of Penn & Teller’s ‘Fool US’

Yes, ‘Fool Us’, a hit on TV in Great Britain, will premier on the CW. They have ordered nine new, hour long, segments featuring American magicians, in front of an American TV audience..

To quote from VARIETY..  “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” gives aspiring magicians the chance to perform their best trick to try to fool vet magician duo Penn and Teller. Those who succeed nab the opportunity to perform with Penn and Teller in their show at the Rio Hotel in Vegas. Hourlong show will feature a live studio audience. The CW has ordered nine segs of “Fool Us” from 117 Prods. and September Films. Peter Adam Golden, Andrew Golder, David Green and Peter Davey are exec producing..“

‘America’s Got Talent’ to hold casting call in Greensboro

Tim Clodfelter of the Winston-Salem Journal writes: 

NBC’s series “America’s Got Talent” will hold an open casting call in Greensboro next month looking for contestants for the show’s next season.       

The casting call will be held at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown, 304 N. Green St., from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29. According to a casting announcement, “Every type of performer is welcome: Last season’s competitors included musicians, dancers, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts, and everything in between.”
