From the Las Vegas Sun – Comedy-magician Mac King kicks off his Magical Literacy Tour: Nevada Reading Week 2014 with students at Vegas Verdes Elementary School on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. For the fourth year, the Harrah’s headliner will visit schools to perform magic tricks, talk about the importance of reading and distribute books collected during book drives.

PULLING four lottery tickets from his wallet, magician Luca Gallone already has me hooked.
He shuffles the tickets and lets me see them – even hold them.
As I watch his hands intensely to try to catch the moment the magic is going to happen, he ties the tickets in an elastic band and places them on my desk.

HE MAY be Iranian, but illusionist Mahdi Moudini feels Malaysian through and through.
Mahdi has felt at home in Malaysia ever since he arrived here in 1998 as a tourist.
“I fell in love with this country straight away.
“I could feel that I belong here the day I arrived,” said the magician, who was born Mahdi Moammer in a small town called Karaj, near Teheran.

Scott Thatcher, known as Silly Scott, was given the British Children’s Entertainer National Championships Award 2014 at the Blackpool Magic Convention.
Up against five other top magicians, Scott had to show his best tricks in a 15-minute time limit and impress the judges.
But his audience also consisted of hundreds of local children and 5,000 magicians who attended the four-day event at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.
