Magician Murray SawChuck Opens FantaSea Aboard Queen Mary Friday…

The Queen Mary, in association with The Academy of Magical Arts [operators of the legendary Magic Castle], is presenting FantaSea, a weekend of magic performances aboard the beautiful and historic ship. The program starts on Friday, April 8 with the Friday Night of Illusions. Taking place in the Queen’s Salon, the show will feature celebrated illusionist and entertainer, Murray SawChuck.

SawChuck was a finalist on America’s Got Talent, has a regular gig at the Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip, and has millions of views for viral videos he’s created. Still, he’s rooted in the tradition and history of magic, and is constantly discovering new twists on classic illusions.

Don’t worry, Dynamo – these failed magic tricks are far worse..

Don’t worry, Dynamo – these failed magic tricks are far worse..

On Wednesday night, Dynamo took to the stage at London’s O2 Arena and, in front of 10,000 people, messed up a magic trick. Oops.

The Bradford-born magician – real name Steven Frayne – invited two audience members, Tom and Amy, up on stage. He took Tom’s mobile phone and somehow managed to get the device inside an empty bottle.

However, after asking Amy to ring the phone in order to complete the trick, the call didn’t go through and, after an unbearably-long pause, Dynamo explained: “It’s a live magic show people, anything could happen.”

We’ve since been told that Tom’s was was indeed inside the bottle – it just didn’t ring due to a lack of signal in the O2. However, that line hasn’t stopped Twitter from reacting, badly to the mishap, branding the 33-year old’s blunder “embarrassing” and “awkward”.

Still, Dynamo’s mistake has nothing on some of his fellow magician’s foul-ups and fiascos … Watch the videos at:

Daniel Radcliffe Plays The Anti-Magician In Now You See Me 2

Daniel Radcliffe Plays The Anti-Magician In Now You See Me 2

If you’ve seen recent comic book movies like Deadpool or Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice at the movie theater, you’ve probably also seen a trailer for Now You See Me 2, the sequel nobody saw coming.

…See what we did there?

Anyway, the film brings back much of the cast of Now You See Me, the 2013 heist movie that puts a magician played by Jesse Eisenberg at odds with a federal agent played by Mark Ruffalo. It also introduces a new character, played by Harry Potter franchsie star Daniel Radcliffe.

And, yes, he’s a magician.

Well, kind of. You’ll see in the trailer that he’s pretty clearly terrible at it – and that’s actually not a punchline, but a starting point, for his character. Read more.  http://comicbook.com/2016/04/03/daniel-radcliffe-plays-the-anti-magician-in-now-you-see-me-2/

QUICKER THAN THE EYE  ….. This video may have you not believing your own eyes. From filmmaker Sebastian Mlynarski, “Magic Man” follows a street magician going by “Justin Sight.” And here’s the catch: Sight is legally blind, and his clever tricks have become his main avenue for connecting with people.

Now 23, Sight was born as Adam Jaslikowski, and at 10, he learned his failing vision was due to Stargardt’s macular degeneration. “I would say I was always different, in general, as a kid,” the magician says in the video. “I knew that they saw me as this disheveled, weird, blind kid. If I didn’t have the magic, I’d’ve been even more isolated.”
