Magician Paul Daniels’s Rabbits Get Their Revenge: Bunny Bites Magician Before Magic Act

Magician Paul Daniels’s rabbits got the last laugh when one of the unruly bunnies bit the elderly magician before he was scheduled to go onstage. The naughty rabbit was attempting to woo another bunny when Daniels stepped in to stop their budding romance. That’s when one of the rabbits bit magician Paul Daniels on the finger.

The 76-year-old magician, who starred in The Paul Daniels Magic Show on the BBC from 1979 to 1994, was treated by a medic, who gave him a tetanus shot and prescribed antibiotics to stave off infection from the rabbit bite. His performance in Crewe, Staffordshire, part of his Back Despite Popular Demand Tour, was delayed thanks to the rabbit’s antics. A source who was on hand during the incident spoke with The Sun about the injury….

(Photo: Business Wire)PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In a move designed to bring a taste of Las Vegas to East Tennessee, The Smoky Mountain Opry Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, has signed nationally known star magician Darren Romeo, “the Voice of Magic,” to a multi-year, multi-million dollar production beginning March 7, 2015.

Romeo, a magician and a singer, will bring his critically acclaimed full-scale production “Magic Beyond Belief” to the stage. The new show features white tigers, large-scale original illusions, vocal performances, celebrity impersonations, comedy, and a huge tribute to the magicians who inspired him the most: mentors Siegfried and Roy and Harry Blackstone Jr.

In addition to worldwide touring, Romeo starred in his own show as “Siegfried & Roy presents, Darren Romeo” at the Mirage Resort Hotel and Casino. He has also performed in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace and the Flamingo Hilton and at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood to name but a few.

The Amazing Johnathan stuns ‘ENTSpeaks’ audience: ‘I have a year to live’

The Amazing Johnathan is the last in line on this night after a series of five speakers at Inspire Theater on Fremont East in downtown Las Vegas. Before him, we have been regaled in tales from such legends as Mary Wilson of The Supremes and comic genius Marty Allen.

At the end, it’s the comic magician of whom his contemporaries say is one of the great stage performers of his era. Comic Louie Anderson said that just before the show as he hung around the VIP suite with the night’s speakers. But The Amazing Johnathan, or A.J., as he is commonly known, is not right on this night. He is weak and has trouble walking over any considerable distance. His wife, performance artist Anastasia Synn, has had to sometimes carry him, actually on her back, when his legs fail.

At 4 years old, Mat Franco dreamed of making it big in magic by starting to teach himself card tricks. At 12, he became the youngest student ever in Henderson magician Jeff McBride’s Magic Academy classes. One week ago, he made TV history as the first magician to win the $1 million “America’s Got Talent” prize on NBC.

This weekend, he headlines at Axis at Planet Hollywood, Britney Spears’ residency theater at Planet Hollywood. He’ll walk away from the two-night show with his fellow “AGT” Season 9 finalists with an offer to return for his own solo spotlight shows when Britney is on hiatus.
